Airbrush Bible

Scantily clad biker chicks!

Over the years we’ve become good friends with Keith Ball and the crew at Bikernet.com. Two years ago we published Keith's book: How to Build a Bonneville Salt Flats Motorcycle, and Keith often uses a new Wolfgang book as a giveaway promotion on his site. In fact, Keith is angling for another trip to Bonneville, so who knows, there may be another Bikernet goes to Bonneville book in our future.

Keith recently sent me a box of his 2010 calendars. They're a little late, apparently there was some kind of a glitch between the printer and the photographer, but what the hell, they turned out great. And we are giving these away FREE to the next 20 people who order a book from our web site. So don't hesitate, order that new Panhead Restoration, Chopper, or Airbrush book today.

Speaking of Airbrush books (nice segue don't you think?) Jacki is getting our newest book, Airbrush Bible, ready to ship to the printer. This new 176 page book includes work from 10 artists already seen in various Wolfgang books. Everyone is here, Lenni the Pinstriper, Steve Chaszeyka, Susan Heidi, Leah Gall, Keith Hanson, Tom Nguyen, Steve Driscoll, Ken Simonson, Vince Goodeve and Luca Paganica. We will have early release copies of Airbrush Bible ready to ship by March 1, 2010.

Airbrush Bible is a compilation of airbrushing sequences that cover everything from Motorcycles to Pin-ups.

At the same time we are going to re-print the Composite Materials Fabrication Handbook #1, because with printing, it's always cheaper by the dozen.

The sequences seen in this new book, like this one by John Nicholas, are the best from Wolfgang's airbrushing books.

Even better, the next step is to hang the front sheet metal on the car. As Neal Letourneau replaced the front frame section a few years back, I will have to fabricate and weld on new tabs to mount the front sheet metal. Next comes fitment for a radiator. Wow, it might actually run before all the sand has slipped through the hour glass.

Spring Books
The publishing business is a deadline business. There's always a deadline looming just over the horizon. Though spring might seem a long ways off (especially if you live in Minnesota), it's time to start working in earnest on the spring books.

The first two books on that schedule are Guitar Building Basics, and Airbrush Bible. Guitar Building Basics is built around the idea that you can build a very nice acoustic guitar at home, with a good kit, a bit of patience, and a great book like ours. This book was originally scheduled for this fall, but we just couldn't quite get it finished in time to hit the book stores for Christmas. I do think it is both a good book and a nice new category for Wolfgang and ArtKulture.

Though delayed, Guitar Building Basics – our first musical instrument book - will see the light of day this spring.

Airbrush Bible is a collection of projects, all done with well-known airbrush artists. The subject matter ranges from sexy pin-ups to sexy motorcycle gas tanks. The artists include Leah Gall, Steve Wizard and the always entertaining Vince Goodeve. While some of the projects are drawn from past books, many are new and never seen before. Stay tuned for updates.
