EEEEEEEE Books and a Fresh Face on Facebook

I’ve said it before. Like it or not, ebooks are here to stay. For me it’s one more revenue stream. One that doesn’t cannibalize sales of print books – at least I don’t think it takes away from the sale of print books. The best part? No warehouse, no shipping, and no returns from the big chain stores.

It took awhile, and we’re not done yet, but our ebooks are finally available directly from Wolfgang.

The best selling ebooks are our Tattoo and Composite Materials books. Most of those have been on the Apple Ibooks store, as well as Amazon and a few others, starting late last year. Starting this week, we have made it possible to buy some of our ebooks (including at least one motorcycle title) directly off the Wolfgang web site. Just scroll through the selections on the Wolfgang Books page. In some cases you will see two images of the same cover, with one marked Ebooks. Just click on the cover and the rest is easy.

If you do have any trouble buying ebooks – or any of our books for that matter – be sure to send an email to the info@wolfpub.com address, or call the office during our somewhat limited hours listed on the Home page.

Facebook
Everybody has a Facebook page. One more way to try and stay in touch in this increasingly fractured world. Like ebooks, Facebook is definitely here to stay, and with that thought in mind, we have launched a company Facebook page. In addition to the normal photos and chit chat that makes up most Facebook pages, all of our books and calendars are listed in both print and ebook versions.

So just click on http://www.facebook.com/wolfgangpublications, have a snoop around, and be sure to tell the world how much you like Wolfgang Publications on Facebook.

It’s not always easy to keep up…. but we try. Take a minute and check out our new Wolfgang Facebook page. Take a look at the books, break down and buy one and let us know if things didn’t work just like they should.

More E Books

A few weeks back I talked about some of the advantages of ebooks. Like the fact that there’s no printer to pay, no need for a warehouse, no damaged books that get shoved down your throat by some big chain. There is at least one more advantage I didn’t mention: the fact that you can publish a book as an ebook, and use the ebook as a barometer to gauge the sale-ability of a printed book.

Our friends at Superior Tattoo have given us permission to convert eight of their sketch books into ebooks, and then later, if there’s enough demand, publish them again as paper books. We’ve taken eight of their small sketch books, and combined them to create the following four sketch books: Skulls + Hearts, Butterflies + Roses, Lettering + Banners, and finally Tribal + Stars, Suns & Moons. Though these are meant as idea catalogs for tattoo artists, they also serve as inspiration for anyone trying to decide what to do for the next tattoo.

For our latest trick, we will take 8 small, printed sketch books, and convert them to digital files that you can review on your computer, iPad, Nook or???

We always seem to have the best luck getting the new ebooks up at the ibook store, that should happen in a month or so, with all the others, like Amazon, Google, Sony, and Barnes & Noble Digital, to follow. Watch for more updates right here.
